I got in contact with the agency after reading some good reviews. After sending an email, I get a call immediately - good that they are very responsive. After avoiding some of my questions on condition of the contract and fee, Valerie asks information about the house type I'm searching for, conditions etc. So I tell her what I'm looking for. I know it's difficult, because I'm alone and it's my first house, but surely not impossible considering my budget. That's why I am willing to pay somebody to help. She probably does not want to start a challenging buying process and tells me "go check funda yourself and let me know, okay?". Extremely rude way of dealing with potential customers. I have been looking at funda for the past months and I know well what's possible and what is definitely not. If I wanted to keep on doing this myself, I would have not got in contact with you. That's literally the job of a real estate agent, to look for houses for the potential buyer. But apparently these agents just want people with an "over the average budget" so that it's going to be an easy job for them. Luckily there are better agents in Utrecht, more kind and willing to help people with an average budget in this difficult market!

I saw this company by chance from reviews on the internet and decided to contact. The only question the woman on the phone asked after greeting me was how much I wanted to buy a house for. Then she told me that there are a lot of people looking for that kind of money and they are not interested in working with me. It sounded insulting. I have no idea why the rating is so high, most likely inflated.

I had a really good experience buying an apartment with the help of Koning Aankoopmakelaars (my agent was Eric Jan). Viewings were scheduled quickly, and I ended up getting an apartment close to the centre of Utrecht for a really competitive price thanks to Eric Jan's negotiation skills. I would totally recommend them!

Amazing in one word! We were very lucky to have John as our makelaar. John helped us find a beautiful family house in Utrecht suburbs. He is an extremely capable Makelaar with deep technical understanding of the status and real value of a house along with some damn good people skills which was very handy during the bidding process 🙂 We got our house on the first bidding. We were introduced to Koning Aankoopmakelaars via a friend and we could not be happier. While the process of buying a house in the Netherlands, specially in Utrecht, could be quite overwhelming, people in Koning Aankoopmakelaars were very professional and made the buying process much easier.Our agent, Eric-Jan, was amazing. He was patient and straightforward. He accompanied us to the viewings and gave us great information as to what to look for and what to consider. While we were not the easiest viewers, always having a long list of things to check in a house, he patiently helped us through our decision making process. When we finally found the house we wanted, the bidding process went very smoothly. We are super happy with services provided by Koning Aankoopmakelaars and would definitely recommend their services, specially for those first time buyers!

After a year of unsuccessfully looking for a house I went looking for a real estate agent to help me out. Koning was advised to me by my brother who also successfully worked with them in the past.And to some the experience up in one frase: worth every penny. Eric Jan, Rutger and let's not forget Janet where al super professional, clear in what and what not to do and, most important of all, kept a steady stream of house options coming.After less than a month I had a verbal agreement on a house (and one i tought i could never get), without over bidding! Just that last fact alone made the service as good as free, because I know I would had made a higher offer if I was on my own.But the service did not end there, Rutger and Eric Jan then went on a real slugging match with the oposing estate agent to get the best terms possible for me. After reading lot of good reviews, I thought of talking to them but in around 45 minute long discussion, all I got to know was that I need to look for houses which have really low asking price compared to my budget, and then make a bid by adding approximate 20% to that price. Well, if you do that, it is no rocket-science to buy a house. The actual challenge is to get the best possible deal in your budget. That is one of the reasons I wanted someone to guide me in buying process.After that, I wanted to go alone but by chance met another agent (from some other company) who explained me in detail about the localities in Utrecht, and suggested which areas can be good as per my need and budget. That is the kind of support and guidance I was expecting.

I had a terrible experience and I do not recommend this makelaar. We saw a house that we liked and we wanted to give an offer. First, it was clear that the makelaar didn't know the market in the area. He told us a range of 100000€ , meaning that the house will be sold between 300-400k€ for example. This thing it doesnt happen with my current makelaar!! Anyway, we advices us to give an offer 10% higher than the asking price. We didn't want to do that since it was the first house we saw. He did not agree and i was trying to convince him to do the offer...unbelievable.. moreover, he didnt inform us if he did the offer and how things were goibg. Terrible experience when you want to buy a house and you give asn offer. After this terrible experience, we stopped the contract with I believe really good reasons and even like that we need to psay then some kind of cancellation. Overall, they don't have a good situation in the market and their attitude was really rude

I had an excellent experience with Koning Aankoopmakelaars. Valerie is the best buying agent I could have wished for. She was extremely organised, clear in communications, and responsive at all times. She explained all procedures to me very clearly right from our first meeting up to the very end when the contract was signed, which, as a first time buyer and expat, I appreciated a lot. At the same time, she did not push or put undue pressure on me at all, and always gave first priority to my own needs, preferences and emotional response to a place. Viewing was not only stress free but almost fun with Valerie, since she was very knowledgeable, asked all the right questions, and had a very keen eye to see potential pros and cons of a place. I am very satisfied with their service. John Siesling was my agent and he did an amazing job. He is very good at understanding our house requirements and also detailed in inspecting the house. He was able to gauge the house price and set the bid accordingly. He is experienced and direct and has a good sense of humour, he was also very patient when we turned down houses or bids, this makes him very easy to work with.Given this was our first house and our first time in the Netherlands we are very happy to have chosen Koning Aankoopmakelaars
